Most digital camera users print their images directly as taken from the camera. Editing tools are handy if you want to crop a photo to change the focus of the image, or to enhance it by making it brighter or darker. There are many free and paid tools available, including free tutorials on how to use them.
Check the CD that came with your camera, it often includes a 'special edition' version of a popular editing tools that is just right for the beginner digital camera enthusiast
